Corona and the subsequent lockdown has hit the poor people the hardest. Especially in cities like Mumbai and Delhi, where the population of daily wagers, street vendors and migrant labours is dense. Kia Foundation has come forward and has consistently provided basic ration to the widows, daily wagers and migrant labours of Koliwada and Appa Pada, Mumbai during this lockdown enabling them to run their families.”
Anonymous, Malad East, Mumbai

Corona and the lockdown both had posed a threat to our lives. I work as a maid for a living and without work and pay, it would have been very difficult if Kia Foundation would not have provided us basic ration. I have received a Grocery kit every 15 days to run my family.”
–Mili Das, Anand Nagar, Jogeshwari East.

I had come to Mumbai for my wife’s Cancer treatment and was stuck here when the lockdown was announced. I would like to thank Kia Foundation for taking up the brave task of distributing essentials during this lockdown to the people like us who are in need.
-K.C.Mukherjee, North 24 Parganas, West Bengal

I earn a living by cooking in a couple of households and had lost the means when the lockdown was announced. Our families are grateful to Kia Foundation for standing by our side and providing Groceries and essentials twice a month from the 3rd of April 2020.”
–Mayuri Das, Anand Nagar, Jogeshwari East, Mumbai.
