Wada is a Town in Wada Taluka in Thane District of Maharashtra State, India. It belongs to Konkan region . It belongs to Konkan Division . It is located 59 KM towards North from District head quarters Thane. It is a Taluka head quarter.

This is where KIA Foundation’s one of the initial stories in the form of intervention began back in May 2019. We had approached the local panchayat and did a reiki of the village. Post which we found out that the village needs development in the realm of livelihoods, education and health care.

It is our first, village adoption program that we started with Wada village. As a one day camp on basic health care check up was done. Followed by engagement of students for a one to one session with our educationist to understand the school system and learning methods. We had organised a tribal cultural program followed by providing for a wholesome meal for 125 villagers.

The one day intervention helped us to draw a roadmap for further intervention to support the Wada Villagers in building a 360degree ecosystem for them
